The men’s professional volleyball Korea Electric Power Corp. ignited the spring volleyball competition by winning four consecutive victories.

KEPCO won a come-from-behind victory with a set score of 3-1 (20-25 25-22 25-21 25-23) in the home game of the 5th round of the men’s division of the ‘Dodram 2022-23 V-League’ against Hyundai Capital held at Suwon Gymnasium on the 5th.

KEPCO, which suffered from sluggishness with 9 consecutive losses, recently showed off a changed performance and succeeded in 4 consecutive wins.

KEPCO, which secured 38 points (12 wins, 14 losses), jumped to fourth place, beating OK Financial Group (37 points, 12 wins, 14 losses). The difference between the 3rd place Woori Card (39 points, 14 wins and 12 losses) is only 1.

Tais Deul Host (registered name Tais) and Seo Jae-deok took the lead in the team’s victory, scoring 27 and 18 points, respectively. Veteran middle blocker Shin Young-seok 메이저놀이터 (10 points) also contributed with a double-digit score.

KEPCO was pushed back 4-17 in the height fight, but was able to catch Hyundai Capital based on the power of the serve, leading 9-4.

While Hyundai Capital preempted the set, KEPCO immediately reversed the charter.

In the middle of the first set, with a narrow lead of 12-11, Hyundai Capital quickly ran away with a 5-point lead by tying up the blocking of opponent Beomsil, Oreoll Kameho (registered name Oreoll), and Choi Minho.

KEPCO pursued by 2 points and burned its will to reverse, but every time it was in a critical situation, a mistake came out and swallowed up regret.

After that, the atmosphere was led by KEPCO. KEPCO, which won the second set and balanced, stole the flow of the game by stabilizing the receive and reviving the attacking team.

In particular, Libero Jang Ji-won, who was introduced from the middle of the second set, laid the foundation for the team to lead with a huge dig. In 20-19, after Jang Ji-won’s super dig, the scene where Tais finished the attack with a back attack was what KEPCO wanted.

At the end of the 3rd set, Shin Young-seok and Seo Jae-deok’s serve aces broke out and continued to rise.

KEPCO showed off its potential to overturn the 4-point gap and earned 3 valuable points.

4th set started with 4-8. Thais’ firepower exploded. Ji-Won Jang’s calm defense and Thais’ instinct to score 5 consecutive goals overturned the game to 10-8.

KEPCO rose to the 20-point high due to Hyundai Capital Libero Yeo Oh-hyun’s double contact mistake.

Although they were chased 22-21 at the end of the game, Seo Jae-deok’s back attack evoked the atmosphere. And in 24-23, he hurrahed for victory with the opponent’s serve.

Hyundai Capital failed to stop KEPCO’s winning streak even though three players – Oreoll (25 points), Jeon Kwang-in (15 points), and Choi Min-ho (12 points) – scored double digits.

Hyundai Capital, which ended its two-game winning streak, maintained second place (49 points, 16 wins, 10 losses), but missed the opportunity to pursue the sole leader, Korean Air (55 points).
