Coach Kim Seung-gi of Goyang Carrot, a professional basketball team, received a warning from KBL for slandering his parent team.
KBL held the 28th 7th Finance Committee meeting at the KBL Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 14th and announced that it issued a warning to coach Kim.
Disciplinary measures such as fines and suspension from participation do not apply to warnings.
In a pre-interview with Suwon KT on the 10th, coach Kim was referred to the Finance Committee for several slanderous acts, such as inappropriately mentioning the former manager of Anyang KGC Ginseng Corporation, his former club.
At the time, coach Kim said, “It was more difficult at Ginseng Corporation” in response to a question about the salary of the Carrot team and the secretariat being delayed twice. Yes. I am grateful to the general manager.”
After he finished answering again, he added, “This is an answer because the question was asked. I didn’t say it myself.”
Carrot was founded by Day One Sports, which is co-directed by former national team coach Heo Jae, the “basketball president스포츠토토,” after taking over the Goyang Orion professional basketball team after the end of last season.
However, the parent company, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering & Construction, was in serious financial trouble, making it difficult to operate a basketball team. The salaries of the players and the secretariat for last month and this month have not been properly deposited.
Carrot is in the process of finding a new owner.
Meanwhile, a penalty of 1 million won was imposed on Gage Prim, a foreign player at Hyundai Mobis in Ulsan, who committed an unsportsmanlike foul.
On the 11th, Prim hit the opposing team Byun Jun-hyung with his arm in a quick attack situation about 6 minutes before the end of the away game with Ginseng Corporation.
In addition, referees Lee Sang-joon and Prodigy Dong-han, who failed to point out the player’s foul, were each suspended for 3 days (at least one game), and referee Kang Gu-dong was warned.
