Bayern Munich have made a new offer for Harry Kane.

Florian Plettenberg, a reporter for Germany’s Sky Sports, wrote on social media on Friday (July 5), “Munich have made an offer of more than 100 million euros ($144 million) with bonus options. There has been no response from Tottenham Hotspur yet. There is no deadline. Munich will continue to wait for an answer until the end of the week.”

Kane is arguably Tottenham’s biggest star and key player. A product of the club’s youth academy, he has anchored the Spurs frontline since 2014 and has scored many goals. Last season, he scored 30 goals in all competitions in the English Premier League (EPL). He was second in the league in goals behind only Elling Holland (Manchester City, 36).온라인카지노

However, despite Kane’s performance, Tottenham didn’t achieve much. They finished eighth in the league and missed out on European competition next season. They were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) in the round of 16, and the English FA Cup and English Football League Cup (EFL Cup) ended early.

Naturally, the possibility of transfers arose. We’ve seen similar situations before. Kane led the league in goals and assists in the 2020-21 season with 23 goals and 14 assists. Spurs weren’t interested, so he asked for a transfer. Man City were linked at the time, but Spurs maintained their no-sale stance, and he stayed.

Kane is contracted to Tottenham until the summer of 2024. He has one year left on his contract, but there is still no word on a new deal. This makes a move this summer very likely. He has already been linked with Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) since the end of the season.

United were the first to make a move. The Red Devils have been impressive this season under new manager Eric ten Hagh. They finished third in the league, qualified for the UCL next season, and won the EFL Cup. Now, ahead of the new season, they’re looking to bolster their squad for even bigger goals. One of the positions they’re looking to add to is striker.

Currently, United doesn’t have a competitive striker. Cristiano Ronaldo made a splash when he returned, but he left in controversy during the season, criticizing the club. A hasty January signing of Butt Verhoeven on loan filled the void, but he’s far from a surefire goal scorer. Anthony Martial also struggled for form due to frequent injuries.

United were looking for a new striker, and Kane was on their list. However, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy made it clear that he would not sell Kane to a league rival. In response, reports emerged that United had suggested that Kane ask for a transfer himself. If Kane wants to leave, Spurs won’t be able to keep him.

As negotiations stalled, Munich entered the fray. The Bavarians have had no shortage of problems up front over the past few seasons. This is thanks to the presence of Robert Lewandowski. He’s been with the Bavarians since 2014 and has led the Bundesliga in scoring for a whopping six seasons. However, Lewandowski moved to Barcelona last summer.

Munich started the season without a clear replacement. The team’s top scorer was Serge Gnabry (14 goals), who can play on the flanks and up front. Erik Choupo-Moting, who was previously Lewandowski’s backup, scored 10 goals.

Neither player was bad, but Munich clearly wanted someone to fill the gap left by Lewandowski, and set out to sign Kane. Finally, in late June, Christian Falk, a reporter familiar with Munich news, broke the news of an agreement on personal terms, saying, “The two sides have reached an agreement in principle for a transfer this summer. All that remains is for Munich and Tottenham to agree on terms.”

There were also reports that Thomas Tuchel had even met with Kane himself. Polk reported in early July that “Tuchel met with Kane in London to discuss the transfer. Kane told Tuchel that his goal is to win the UCL title in Munich,” Polk wrote in July.

All that remains is to negotiate a transfer fee. The Bavarians have made two formal offers to Tottenham. However, both have been rejected. “Munich made a first offer of €70 million plus bonus options, which was rejected by Tottenham,” Plettenberg wrote on his social media account on March 9.

“Munich have now sent a second transfer offer. It is valued at €80 million plus bonus options.” However, just a day after the news broke, Tottenham responded with a counter offer, which was also rejected.

However, Munich is not giving up and is preparing a third offer. “Kane has no plans to sign a new contract with Tottenham this summer,” the British publication Football Insider reported on July 22. He is hoping to join Munich. The Bavarians will make a third bid for Kane when Spurs return from their Asian tour later this month.”

It was also claimed that Kane’s wife was in the city of Munich. “Kane’s wife has already been to the city of Munich to see the school and the house,” Polk said on March 23. She was looking at schools and houses for her children in preparation for their future life in Munich.

Tottenham’s stance so far has been ‘keep Kane’. Spurs are willing to guarantee the highest weekly wages in the EPL to keep Kane. According to the Telegraph, “Tottenham will offer a weekly wage of £400,000 ($660,000) but money is not the issue in Kane’s decision. Manager Enze Postecoglou will have to convince him that Tottenham can achieve European success again.”

Tottenham’s £400,000-a-week offer is in line with the EPL’s highest paid player, Kevin De Bruyne (Man City), according to soccer statistics site Sportrac. Currently, Kane is reportedly earning £200,000 a week (about $330 million). That’s a steal of a deal. However, Kane isn’t in it for the money right now, he wants to add a trophy to his career.

It doesn’t end there. Tottenham want to offer him the chance to continue his career beyond the club. According to the UK’s Daily Mail, Tottenham would like to offer Kane a coaching position at the club once his playing days are over. In the past, the likes of Ledley King and Ryan Mason have started their coaching careers this way.

The UK’s Daily Mail reported in the middle of this month that “Tottenham are trying to get Kane to sign a new contract by any means necessary. They will offer him a weekly wage of £400,000 (about $660,000) and the chance to take up a coaching role at the Spurs club after he finishes his playing career to extend his contract.”

However, these efforts seem to have been to no avail. After all, owner Joe Louis can’t afford to lose Kane as a free agent next summer, so he’d rather sell him now if he doesn’t get an extension. This has led to rumors that United could be back in the hunt.

However, it seems that United have another candidate in mind. “Neither Kylian Mbappe nor Kane are targets for the club at the moment,” said BBC reporter Simon Stone on Thursday. The club’s position will not change.”

Only manager Enze Postecoglou has a headache. Kane is currently playing in Tottenham’s pre-season schedule. He played in the last game against West Ham United and was scheduled to start against Leicester City, which was canceled due to heavy local rain. However, during the friendly, Kane was picked by Postecoglou. He may have to start all over again.

Originally, Munich’s plan was to finalize an agreement with Tottenham last week. According to Plettenberg, Munich CEO Jan Christian Dresden would not accompany the club on its Asian tour and was instead scheduled to meet with Spurs chairman Levy on Friday. However, this was later canceled by Spurs. Nevertheless, Munich did not give up and pushed for talks again.

On February 2, the British Evening Standard reported, “Munich are confident a deal will be done and will soon send a new offer. It is expected to be in the region of £85 million plus bonus options. Recent talks between chairman Daniel Levy and Munich CEO Jan Christian Driessen have been positive.”

Meanwhile, Son Heung-min, who has been one of Kane’s best teammates, said he would respect whatever decision he makes. “I have nothing to say about Kane’s future because I don’t know anything. Maybe Kane himself doesn’t know either. We just have to wait and see. It’s a matter for Tottenham and Kane to decide, and we can only respect whatever decision they make.”

Son Heung-min added: “Kane is a fantastic player. He’s professional and always working hard. It’s not easy with all the rumors going around right now, but he’s still focused. He loves training with the team now, and I love him as a player.” Son spoke highly of Kane.

“He’s been one of the best strikers in the world consistently for five, six, seven years. He always works hard as a striker, he always works hard. When we lose possession of the ball, he does everything in his power to get it back. He’s a great example. It’s always a pleasure to play with Kane.”

Kane’s departure would end their combined EPL goals tally at 47. In February of last year, they surpassed Chelsea legends Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba (36 goals) to become the most dangerous duo in history.
