A chance to win the title of his dreams!

NC Dinos veteran batsman Son Ah-seop (35) 온라인바카라 is batting hot. After finishing the first half of the season with a batting average of 0.331, two home runs, 45 RBIs and 46 runs scored, he didn’t even pause for a second.

In two games against the Hanwha Eagles in Daejeon on 21-22 April, Son went 5-for-8 with a double, home run, three RBIs and three runs scored. His season batting average rose to 0.339. Through 23 days, this is the second-best batting average of the season. At the top of the list is SSG Landers foreign hitter Guillermo Heredia. Heredia’s 0.3389 and Son’s 0.3387 are only two points apart.

Son can definitely challenge for the batting title. His chance at the top spot was postponed when his game against Hanwha was cancelled due to rain on the 23rd, but given his current form, he could overtake Heredia at any time. Son is batting a whopping .450 (18 for 40) in his last 10 games.

Son made his KBO debut in 2007 with the Lotte Giants and has been the epitome of a contact hitter, performing consistently every season until this year. With a career batting average of .322, which ranks third among active players, his precision is already well known in the KBO.

Surprisingly, however, Son has yet to win a single batting title. He’s even had a number of high batting averages in the mid-three digits, but each time he’s failed to win a title. He has only finished first in the most hits category three times (2012-2013-2017).

Coincidentally, every time he had a top-level seasonal batting average, there were competitors who surpassed it. Son finished second overall in batting average in both the 2013 and 2020 seasons. He hit .345 in 2013 and .352 in 2020. Both were MVP-worthy performances, but he was beaten by LG Twins’ Lee Byung-kyu (now head coach of the Samsung Lions) at 0.348 in 2013 and KIA Tigers’ Choi Hyung-woo at 0.354 in 2020.

The same was true when he finished third. Son finished third overall with 0.314 in 2012 and 0.362 in 2014. Hanwha’s Kim Tae-gyun (0.363) in 2012 and Nexen Heroes’ Seo Gun-chang (now LG-0.370) in 2014 won the title of batting champion.

They have always had to settle for second or third place due to their ‘power’, but this year is different. If he continues to hit like he is now, it’s not out of the question for him to take the top spot. If the seasoned Son can win his dream debut batting title, it will give a green light to NC’s participation in autumn baseball.
